Involved in the following usability engineering methods:

• Apply techniques like contextual inquires, user interviews, observations, etc. to analyze the users’ needs and develop personas and user goals accordingly

• Assist business stakeholders in defining goals and objectives of the application

• Define usage scenarios based on personas identified and derive tasks from these scenarios

• Create an Information Architecture (IA) to group the tasks and information

• Applied techniques like card sorting to validate the IA

• Design the user interface (UI) for the tasks identified

• Create initial mockups on paper and further develop them into low-fidelity wireframes using tools like Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio and Balsamiq

• Conduct Usability tests and improvise the UI design based on analysis of users’ feedback

• Perform usability inspection on applications and sites using techniques like heuristic evaluations to determine the usability index of the application or site

• Assist developers during implementation by providing walkthroughs and alternative design suggestions (if needed)
